Al Clark has enjoyed a successful 28 year career of continuing growth and achievement. Most recently
he has been in the management consulting field, providing business development services to several firms
in the voice mail and automated attendant business.
From 1986 to 1990, when the company was sold, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Miami Voice Corporation, a pioneer in the voice mail industry. Prior to this, he led the development and marketing of a practice management system for the optometric health care industry. Mr. Clark held a number of senior positions with Eastern Air Lines from 1969 to 1980. During this period he managed the implementation of the Atlanta Mid-Field Terminal project and the network consolidation for Eastern's three major computer facilities in Miami and Charlotte, N.C. He was instrumental in the development of one of the first major IBM SNA network plans linking major systems, and implemented one of the earliest HyperChannel systems. Prior to moving to the technical field, Mr. Clark held senior positions in finance and planning with Eastern. During this period he led the development of the worldwide credit card specifications used today by all major cards. He was responsible for the industry development and implementation of the North American Area Settlement Plan for travel agents and airlines. As chairman of several ATA and IATA committees, he also led the industry's development of standards for data interchange, automated ticketing and machine readable documents. Mr. Clark began his career in 1964 with Esso Inter-America where he was responsible for development of a number of systems. He created and implemented a sales reporting system for Esso's chemical operations throughout Latin America, and automated the storage and tanker scheduling operations of Esso.
